Describe your app well
What to put in the description, and how screenshots, PDF specs and redesigns work.
Updated 5 November 2026
Tappy can work from one sentence, but the more it knows about your app, the closer the first design will be.
What to include
- Who it's for, and what they come to do. "For couples who share some bills and keep others separate" says more than "a budgeting app".
- The main things people do, in plain words: browse menus, order ahead, track the courier.
- Anything that must be there, such as a sign-up screen, a map or a paywall.
- A feeling, if you have one: calm, playful, premium. Or leave the look to Tappy.
Add screenshots, a PDF or notes
Click the paperclip next to the box, drag files onto the page, or paste them. Tappy reads them alongside your description.
- Screenshots: up to 5. Tappy matches their look.
- A PDF spec: one PDF, up to 10 MB and 20 pages. Tappy follows it.
- Text or Markdown notes: their text is added to your description.
Redesign an app you already have
Press Redesign my app under the box and add screenshots of your current app. Tappy redesigns those screens, keeping what each one does and your name, logo and main colour. The box then becomes optional: use it for anything you want changed.
Choose how many screens
The Screens menu sets how many screens to design: Auto, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 8. Auto lets Tappy decide from your description. You can always add screens later.
