Bricolage Grotesque for headings, Figtree for text, in light mode.

The brief it came from

“A trip planner for a group holiday: upcoming trips, a day-by-day itinerary, places the group saved on a map, shared costs and who owes whom, every booking in one place, and a shared packing list. Use a few photos of the places, at most six in the whole app, and initials instead of faces.”

Tappy planned and designed Wayfare from that one brief, at the Atelier level with design review on. The art direction it set itself, in short:

Wayfare is for a group of friends planning a shared holiday, so the mood is warm, organised and unfussy: a well-kept travel notebook rather than a booking engine. Hero material is the plan itself — the trip name and dates, the day timeline, the balance figures, the booking references — so numbers and titles get the Bricolage Grotesque display treatment while everything else stays in quiet Figtree.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Opening a template takes a free account, and your copy costs nothing. Editing text, photos, colours and fonts is free too. Asking Tappy to redesign or add screens uses credits, like any app you make.

Is my copy mine to change?

Yes. It's saved in your apps like anything you design, and changing it never changes the Wayfare template.

What's in it?

6 screens: Trips, Itinerary, Map, Costs, Bookings, Packing list. They share one style, and the tab bar and buttons link the screens so you can tap through them.

Can I start from my own idea instead?

Yes. Describe your app in a sentence and Tappy designs it from scratch in its own style. You can also start from this template's brief and get a new design.
