The brief it came from

“A meditation and sleep app: a short session picked for how you feel right now, a library of guided sessions and sleep stories, a breathing timer, a sleep log with how rested you felt, and a wind-down routine for bedtime. Draw every image with shapes and icons: no photos, and initials instead of faces.”

Tappy planned and designed Hush from that one brief, at the Studio level with design review on. The art direction it set itself, in short:

Hush is a nocturnal, unhurried companion for adults who open it on the sofa at 10pm or in bed at 3am, so it lives in dark mode: a deep blue-green night (#0E1416), never pure black, with warm moonlight text. The hero material is drawn generative art.
